The Bible records in 2 Timothy 2:15, "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth". Bible Training Institute is devoted to training young and old in the knowledge and practical application of Word of God, as well as preparing them for the service of helping others, reaching the lost with the Gospel message, impacting the world for Christ and the Church. BTI has equipped thousands of men and women to better instruct others in the Word of God and to discern the difference between well-established Bible truth and error.

Equipping Others for Service

So long have those who have prepared our BTI lesson materials labored in preparation for the classes, seeking God and verifying what they are to teach, that the Holy Spirit often takes over during our BTI classes. Many leave BTI with a vision of the Church that they did not possess, prior to attending. Others leave with a new vision of how the auxiliaries are to function, and God blessing their work and zeal upon returning to their home church. Nearly all have received some deeper revelation, spiritual experience or calling that they would not otherwise have received. The end result is that, while none of us yet has attained perfect knowledge in all things, students—whether 16 or 116—leave BTI believing, minding, and teaching the same thing. BTI is a deeply spiritual, life-changing, course-correcting, priority-resolving, pace-setting experience for everyone who attends.

Philippians 3:15-16 instructs, “Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.” For the sake of the present work and the future generations who will inherit it from us, let’s get it right! If you haven’t already, please make plans to attend BTI. You’ll be glad you did, and so will the entire Body of Christ, present and future.

Today, BTI also offers correspondence courses, which can be ordered through the Merchandise Department. These courses are great for individual or group study and help our members to understand who the Church of God is, her Prominent Teachings, and her mission. Some of the courses include material to help members identify false doctrines and seducing spirits, discern the will of God and possess the necessary tools, which assist them in becoming all they can be for the Lord. Members of the Church of God are encouraged to take advantage of BOTH avenues of BTI - the Correspondence Courses, as well as the actual school, in Cleveland.

The curriculum of Bible Training Institute is divided into four terms of study. The primary course of study is offered in a three year program available to all individuals. Upon completion of this study program, students will receive a diploma certifying their graduation. Also available to licensed ministry is the Leadership and Pastoral Development course.
